The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is in terrible danger in Emmerdale after learning a secret about John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
This week, John’s sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) decided to dig into his past and find out about his friends. It was done with good intentions, as Vic believed John could have some army pals at his and Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) upcoming stag do.
When Vic met Connor, conversation turned to a man called Aidan Moore, who Connor and John worked with. When Vic mentioned Aidan’s death, however, the situation changed when Connor confirmed he’s actually in a coma in hospital.

Vic was taken aback. She had worked hard to get her brother to open up about his life, because she cared and wanted to get to know him – this development left her wondering what else John had been lying about.
Understanding Vic respected John’s wishes to keep the development a secret from Aaron, convinced it’s best if he believes his old lover died.
In tonight’s episode though, things changed.

While in The Hide, Mackenzie bumped into Connor. He was back hoping to see Vic and give her his phone number.
Once Mack learnt that Connor is mates with John, he took advantage. Mackenzie has never liked John, and decided to find out the character’s ‘deepest darkest secrets’ for his apparent best man speech.
When Mack arrived at the Mill Cottage flat, he wasted no time in telling Aaron what he had learnt.

Just before the instalment ended, an oblivious John tried to return home, only to be stopped by Mack in the doorway. He told John to get in his van and never return, which left him very angry indeed.
We now know that John was responsible for killing Nate, as well as framing Ella and forcing Jacob to have an allergic reaction.
He’s capable of a lot, which has left us wondering if he’ll orchestrate revenge on Mackenzie, who is standing in the way of his happiness.
Are Mack’s days numbered?
