EastEnders’ Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) has been thrown a curveball as she’s presented with the opportunity to start anew away from the drama of Walford.
On Monday (April 14), viewers were taken by surprise when Sonia’s estranged father Terry Cant, portrayed by Glen Davies, made an unexpected entrance into Walford after learning about her troubling encounter with the menacing Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
The tension escalated in Tuesday’s instalment of the iconic BBC drama as Terry, who divulged he now lives in Bali working as a mindfulness coach and is temporarily in London, wanted to reconnect with Sonia.
However, his intentions hit a snag following a phone call that cut his visit short, much to Sonia’s displeasure.

Adding fuel to the fire, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) vehemently opposed Terry’s return, blaming him for past sorrows inflicted upon their mother Carol, reports Plymouth Live.
In an intense scene, Bianca lashed out at Terry: “If you really had Sonia’s best interests at heart you would have never come back here Terry.”
Her statement was followed by recollections of their mother’s suffering, saying: “I remember my mum crying at night on the stairs, you made her feel like nothing. Sonia doesn’t need you, she never did, she is doing just fine without you.”
Having none of it, Terry counteracted: “This, this is fine, is it? Stuck here with you dripping poison in her ear all day.”
Bianca sharply retorted: “The truth isn’t poison; she doesn’t want you here, nobody does. So why don’t you get on your little speedboat and sail off into the sunset.”

After witnessing Bianca’s reaction to Terry’s arrival, EastEnders fans are now suspecting that he harbours a dark secret and that Sonia is once again being set up for disappointment.
One fan of the show expressed on X: “Terry’s definitely hiding something #EastEnders.”
Another viewer commented: “#EastEnders I hope Terry is not being dodgy or after money”. A third added their thoughts: “This Terry’s a wrong’un.”
One viewer questioned: “Am I the only one that thinks Bianca’s reaction to seeing this bloke who she hasn’t seen since she was 8 is a bit strong? #EastEnders.”
Another explained: “I can see Bianca’s point; she’s old enough to remember what Terry put Carol through and she wants to protect Sonia, especially more so after all she’s been through lately, but Sonia needs to make her own decision even if Wrong again #EastEnders.”
