EastEnders has shared a first look at Sonia Fowler’s anticipated reunion with her long-estranged father Terry.
In Monday’s episode, viewers saw Bianca Jackson come face-to-face with Sonia’s biological father Terry Cant, who had a relationship with Sonia’s mum Carol.
Though Bianca persuaded Terry to leave Sonia be, he swiftly ignores her advice and knocks on Sonia’s door. She is shocked by his arrival after all these years.
In first-look images – showing scenes that will take place in Tuesday night’s episode (15 April) – Sonia invites Terry in to learn more, but there’s some hostility from Bianca.
“Sonia agrees to hear her long-lost dad Terry out as he attempts to explain why he’s waited until now to come and find her,” reads the photo’s caption. “However, Bianca is less than impressed to see Sonia giving Terry the time of day.”

Viewers saw Bianca’s hesitance with Terry shortly after making his acquaintance, with her urging him to stay away from Sonia based on what she has heard about him and his past behaviour via her mum.
Terry claimed to have genuine reasons for reconnecting with Sonia, arriving in Albert Square as part of Mo Harris and Kim Fox’s true crime tour.
Bianca spotted him hanging around after the tour had ended and confronted him. Terry then explained that he’d decided to reach out after hearing the podcast about Reiss Colwell.

He added that he wanted to make up for lost time with Sonia – but is his explanation legit and can he be trusted?
Natalie Cassidy, who will shortly bid goodbye to her character Sonia as she leaves Walford again, previously teased the arrival of a stranger into her life following Reiss’s death and the aftermath of his evil actions.
“Sometimes, when big life events happen, you find that someone might pop out of the woodwork to open your eyes and change your life,” she said. “That’s what happens to Sonia this week…”
Cassidy hinted that Terry’s reappearance was central in her upcoming exit storyline, describing the story as “very final but also very good”.
