EastEnders fans are calling for Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) to return to Walford following her dad Phil’s mental struggles.
As fans of the BBC soap will, Phil battled with loneliness and depression for months before he tried to end his life in February. He was saved by his brother Grant (Ross Kemp), Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Phil wrote a ‘goodbye’ letter to some family members, including one for his ex-wife, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), whom he married in 2014. He also left notes for his children.
Phil’s eldest son, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), is currently serving time in an American prison following a fraud charge. While Louise is thought to be living abroad with her young daughter Peggy, who she shared with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
In January 2020, Louise set up her cheating fiancée Keanu and allowed him to be murdered by Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Before he was drugged and hauled away by Martin, Louise icily told him: “Never, ever take a Mitchell for a fool.”
Martin later reported back to Ben with a video showing Keanu being shot dead, but of course, Keanu lived a few more years before he was killed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Phil demanded Louise and her daughter Peggy leave Walford for a new life in Portugal after she thought Keanu had been killed and she was responsible.
However, fans are calling for Louise to return as her dad, Phil, recovers from his heartbreaking breakdown.
Taking to Reddit, one person wrote, “Who would you like to see return next?” Another replied, “I’d love Louise to come back, to bring joy to Phil.”
A third chimed in: “Louise, Max, Cindy JR, Fatboy, Sean, Sam,” while another echoed: “Ash, Kheerat, Louise.”
“Louise, maybe, but I think there’s a higher chance for her return. Possibly with a recast though?” added another.
