Fans fear the village surgery is cursed after John reveal – and they have a point

Emmerdale fans have spotted a concerning pattern with the village surgery – and John Sugden’s just added to it.

If we were an Emmerdale villager, we’d think twice about setting foot inside that medical practice.

With John, Meena and Ella all having worked there, it’s not the safest of places.

John causes Jacob’s allergic reaction in Emmerdale

Yesterday in the Dales, Jacob decided that he was ready to go back to work after Leyla’s death and did some work experience at the village surgery.

Manpreet told Jacob that both she and Liam would be heading out on home visits for a few hours so he’d been in John’s capable (or not so capable) hands.

Jacob then went to pick up some coffees and returned with an almond milk one for John. He’d labelled which coffee was which with a sticker, so as not to confuse them.

However, knowing that Jacob has a nut allergy, John switched the sticker on the cups when he wasn’t looking. He then left the room as Jacob took a sip and went into anaphylactic shock in front of Victoria.

John then burst into the room and played the ‘hero,’ grabbing a pen and stabbing it into Jacob while calling for Liam and instructing for Vic to ring for an ambulance.

Liam, Jacob and Vic all thanked John for his help in saving Jacob’s life, having no idea that he cause the whole incident in the first place.

This isn’t the first time the surgery has employed someone who is rather dodgy. Over the years we’ve seen serial killer Meena work as a nurse there. Then there was ‘fake nurse’ Wendy…

We can’t forget killer Ella, and even Manpreet who recently broke patient confidentiality. And now there’s killer John. We’d steer clear…

And, fans have noticed this alarming pattern and can’t help but comment on it.

One fan commented: “That surgery is dangerous – Meena, Ella and now John. I really wanted John to be a good guy.”

Another person added: “That surgery – is it a front for serial killer training?”

A third person shared: “So they’ve gone from Wendy ‘Not a Nurse’ to John ‘Angel of Death.’ They have some dodgy sorts employed in Emmerdale surgery.”

A fourth fan finished: “What’s the recruitment policy in the surgery? We had Meena and now John, not to mention Wendy and her dodgy qualifications.”
