Following the tragic demise of Martin Fowler, Ruby felt she had no reason to stay in Walford. Her situation worsened when she was blamed for setting Martin’s stall ablaze. But it later emerged that Lily was the real culprit behind the fire – a fact that remains under wraps for now.
But Stacey wasn’t the only one to share a poignant goodbye with Ruby. Before her departure, Ruby expressed her gratitude to Zack Hudson (James Farrar) for his unwavering support, especially after he confessed his feelings for her, reports the Mirror.

Chatting with The Sun prior to her final scenes being broadcast, Louisa shared: “I left EastEnders a couple of weeks ago. I was only back for six months, to tie in with the 40th and Martin’s exit.
“She added optimistically, “It’s always good to come and go and I never see it as a big thing when I leave because I can be back again!”
