Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ whose car John Sugden just smashed up – and it’s bad news

Emmerdale’s John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) was seen in a violent outburst as he took his frustrations out on a car after making a significant error at work.

Since his arrival in the village last year, the paramedic has raised eyebrows among viewers with suspicions of hidden dark secrets. These suspicions were heightened when John nonchalantly disposed of Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) body after he was murdered by Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly).

John was also the last person to see Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) alive before his body was discovered in the frozen lake in February, where it still lies.

In Tuesday’s episode (April 8), Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was left puzzled after his fiancé John apologised for something in his sleep.

When questioned, John explained that he was having nightmares following the incident with Anthony.

While at the doctor’s surgery, John was researching ways to improve sleep when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) walked in feeling unwell, reports Leeds Live.

John diagnosed her with a hangover, only for Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) to arrive and confirm she was diabetic and required medical attention. Liam then stated he would need to discuss the incident with John.

Upon returning home, John’s temper began to flare as he told Aaron he couldn’t always be the hero. He later arrived at the scrapyard and called Aaron to apologise before picking up a sledgehammer.

John unleashed his anger on the car, clearly losing his temper as he violently smashed the hammer into the vehicle.

Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Liam’s life might be at risk following a heated confrontation with John earlier in the episode, after a car resembling his appeared in a scrapyard.

Fans shared their theories on social media platform X. “No. I bet it gets revealed tomorrow it was someone’s (possibly Liam’s) car at the scrapyard. #Emmerdale”, one person speculated.

Other viewers agreed, with one saying: “Ooh! John’s a bit angry there! I’m a bit worried for Liam now! #emmerdale.”

Another fan posted: “#Emmerdale looks like Dr lovepole’s car, hope Liam isn’t in it.”

A fourth viewer joked: “Oh no! He’s killing Cav’s car and pretending it’s Cav’s head! #Emmerdale”.
