Jelly Roll To Make Acting Debut, Will Play An Ex-Convict On CBS Series ‘Fire Country’

The “Son Of A Sinner” singer is expanding into a new talent field, leaving the recording booth to make his acting debut.

If you watched Tulsa King , you might be scratching your head because Jelly Roll appeared in an episode during the second season of the Taylor Sheridan series. While it’s true that Jelly Roll appeared on the show, he was playing a singer and singing his own song, “I Am Not Okay.”

While some might consider that his acting debut, others would not. But no matter if you thought his debut was on Tulsa King or what’s to come, Jelly Roll is making his way back to a screen near you.

Jelly Roll is set to appear as a character named Noah in season three of the CBS hit Fire Country.

“Jelly Roll is making his acting debut with an important role alongside Max Thieriot and Billy Burke on CBS’ hit series Fire Country.”

According to Us Weekly , Jelly Roll’s character is a healthcare worker and former convict who’s in the process of turning his life around.

His character description adds that Noah:

“Now, he works with patients like his mom, and their loved ones who struggle with saying their own goodbyes.”

Ironically, this character has many qualities that are closely tied to Jelly Roll’s life. I am sure that many of you have already put together an ex-convict tie, turning their life around for the better. And Jelly Roll loves helping people, which ties right into his character description. In fact, on a recent Pivot Podcast appearance , Jelly Roll shared that he’s “passionate about broken people, in all forms.”

In addition, Jelly Roll’s character, Noah, has the same name as his son. That’s a lot of small-world connections tying this curated character to his real life.

The episode featuring Jelly Roll will air on April 11th. You can also stream the show on Paramount+.

From acting in commercials to scripted series, Jelly Roll is making big moves. Before you go, check out the last major commercial he starred in for Zevia, a health soda brand.

While Jelly is dipping his toe into acting, he’s not abandoning music by any means. Jelly Roll is about to head on tour with Post Malone for his Big Ass Stadium tour.

Check out and see if it’s coming to a city near you.
