In Emmerdale Ella has had a tough week as everyone in the village believes she was the one to drug Chas. But she is adamant that it wasn’t her, and it seems viewers believe her.

Chas collapsed and hit her head last week, and when the hospital informed her it looked like she had taken too many pills, fingers immediately turned to Ella.

While it would have been easy for it to have been Ella who drugged Chas, her determination to prove her innocence has viewers believing that she didn’t actually do it. And as everyone else continues to give her a hard time, fans are firmly on Team Ella.

Did Ella drug Chas in Emmerdale?

Ella and Chas haven’t had the smoothest of friendships. Chas kissed Liam when he and Ella were together, and Ella was never able to move on from him.

And with Ella’s murderous past, it was easy for the villagers to make her seem like the villain. But that doesn’t actually seem to be the case. Either Ella is really good at lying or she is telling the truth.

Instead, Ella is convinced Chas is actually an addict and is just trying to make her look like the bad guy. She believes that Chas overdosed and doesn’t want to admit she has a problem. But when she voiced this, even Manpreet turned on her, asking her to move out.

Viewers all agree on one thing: Ella didn’t do it.

Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “The way they are all being so nasty to Ella is really annoying me.”

Another added: “Basically we are just watching Ella be bullied for breathing.”

“I really hope Ella proves her innocence. Can’t stand dopey Liam and vile hypocritical Chas” a third viewer penned.

A fourth commented: “I want Ella to be right about all of this. Chas is a [bleep] and karma is needed.”

Another explained the whole storyline made them “uncomfortable” as Ella has been targeted by everyone.

They said: “Does anyone else find this Ella storyline uncomfortable? It has been nothing but bullying.”

Who else could have done it?

Aside from Ella and Chas herself, the main suspect is John. However some believe it could have been Dr Liam.

John is the number one suspect as many fans believe he is trying to make himself look like the hero to win over Chas.

If it was him then the theory that he is a serial killer is looking more and more likely. And Chas should stay watching her back.

Another theory is that Liam, who has been observing Chas’ meds, has a brain injury from the limo crash. And as a result he could be unknowingly messing up his partner’s meds.
