Emmerdale airs a shocking downward spiral for April Windsor next week as she hears the truth about her dad Marlon Dingle’s recent betrayals.
April is horrified when she discovers the lengths that Marlon has gone to in his efforts to keep her friend Dylan out of her life.
Viewers know that April befriended Dylan when she was living on the streets at the start of the year.
When Dylan started hanging around the village and wanted a place to stay, Marlon framed him over the theft of ketamine from the vets surgery.
Dylan selflessly kept quiet about Marlon’s mistake when he found out what had happened. Marlon agreed to pay for Dylan to go to rehab, where he could tackle his drug problems once and for all.

This week’s episodes see Marlon return to his old tricks as he hides a letter that Dylan has sent to April from rehab.
In next week’s episodes, Marlon’s guilty conscience gets the better of him as he finally tells April the truth about the ketamine.
Wanting to make April feel better, Marlon shows her the letter from Dylan, which proves how much he still cares about her. Feeling totally manipulated by her dad, April rushes off.
Later in the week, April makes her own drastic plan as she steals from the vets surgery herself – fleeing from the building with a vial of ketamine.
When Marlon returns home, he’s devastated to find his daughter unconscious with the empty drugs vial beside her.

Although April turns out to be okay, the incident sends Marlon’s overprotective approach into overdrive.
He plants a tracking device in April’s coat so that he can monitor her movements at all times.
His wife Rhona uncovers the desperate plan and urges him to give April the freedom she wants, before he pushes her away forever. Will Marlon agree?
