Emmerdale fans expose sinister reality as Chas Dingle battles ‘hidden diagnosis’

Emmerdale fans expressed concern for Chas Dingle as they theorised that she’s fighting a hidden diagnosis after suffering from an injury caused by the Valentine’s limo crash.

As viewers will remember, two limos ended up in separate crashes with one nose diving into a frozen lake. Liam, Chas, Kerry, Tracy, Leyla, Suzy, Amy, Vanessa and Charity were the villagers stuck in icy peril.

Unfortunately, the crash claimed the lives of three Dales residents – Suzy Merton, Amy Wyatt and Leyla Harding. Meanwhile, Chas did make it safely across the ice with help from Liam, but she slipped during the process.

During Wednesday’s (19th March) episode, Chas hit her head on the side of the bar and collapsed after suffering from a sudden spell of light headedness.

Although she was on her own at the time, John and Victoria Sugden found her lay unconscious as John made his way over to the pub to try and get Chas’ blessing for his engagement to Aaron Dingle.

After being seen to at the hospital, it was revealed she had high levels of codeine in her system, insinuating an overdose. Chas made it known that she hadn’t developed a reliance on her painkillers, and Liam backed her up as he confirmed he would have noticed if she was taking more than she needed.

While some fans are convinced that John switched up Chas’ medication and is set to point the finger at Ella Forster, other viewers are concerned that she’s fighting a hidden illness underneath all the pain.

Chas and Ella have become sworn enemies as Ella dated Liam before he left her for Chas. During the engagement party, Ella accidentally bumped into her but Chas was convinced she did it on purpose and they had a very public argument.

Now, viewers are convinced that there’s something more sinister on the horizon for the beloved Dales resident. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @gm_shantha suggested: “I suspect Chas has stage 4 cancer (causing the bone pain) Not sure about why the drug levels were so high though”
