Lorraine probed with interest: “Is it ‘true’ she (Manpreet) has to wear high heels all the time?” Sarker replied with a mischievous smile, amusingly placing herself in Manpreet’s shoes: “Well, Rebecca has to wear heels all the time.”
Candidly discussing her penchant for stylish footwear, Sarker admitted: “That’s my sort of blue MandM moment,” and affirmed her fondness for stilettos, declaring to Lorraine: “I like heels Lorraine,” reports the Express.
The conversation moved to the subject of comfort as Lorraine enquired if wearing heels took a toll on her feet. The actress was quick to respond: “Nope, I’m used to it. I think my feet are conditioned.”
With a touch of humour, Lorraine commented that Sarker’s feet must be unaccustomed to a flat surface, at the same time complimenting her for her choice in shoes: “They are cracking though aren’t they?”.
Rebecca shared with Lorraine how she had been apprehensive about the adult content in her storyline, leading her to question the producers after receiving the script.
The ITV star was advised that her portrayal needed to be character-driven, necessitating detailed research and discussions with real-life victims.
Speaking to Lorraine, she recalled one key worry, prompting her to ask the crew if “any photos would be shown on Emmerdale?” Her concern was quashed as the team confirmed: “Unfortunately, not.”
