Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle is set to investigate Kammy, one of the soap’s newest characters and the new love interest of her granddaughter Sarah Sugden.
Sarah’s had a tough time recently, having been dumped by Jacob Gallagher and then learning her pregnancy news was a false positive. In scenes set to air next week, bad boy Kammy catches Sarah’s eye and she has some fun racing stolen quad bikes with him.
However, when Charity sees them together, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, Sarah actor Katie Hill teased that: “Charity is definitely suspicious of Kammy at the start. She’s thinking, ‘who is he?’ Then spending a lot of time with him and becomes a bit distant from Charity.
“So Charity wants to find out more about Kammy and do a bit of digging. I think she’s trying to find something bad out about him because she really likes Jacob and wants Sarah to be with a sensible boy instead, but I don’t know if Sarah’s got different plans to that.”
Sarah’s unlikely to listen to any of Charity’s concerns, as Hill stated that: “When Charity’s telling her off for doing all this stuff, Sarah can turn around and say, ‘Well, there’s nothing I’ve done that you haven’t yourself!’

“She definitely uses that as an excuse for her reckless behaviour because she just thinks, ‘Well, everyone else has done it, so they can’t tell me off for doing it.'”
While Hill said that her character has “got a really good heart deep down”, she’s really enjoying playing into Sarah’s “Dingle side” right now, and seeing her get in trouble and getting up to no good.
