EastEnders has confirmed a major betrayal will take place as Harvey Monroe and Kathy Beale are set to share another passionate kiss.

At the end of last year, Harvey and Kathy grew closer after Harvey popped in to see Kathy following an argument with Jean.

After enjoying a meal and a few drinks, things took an unexpected turn and the pair shared a kiss. Kathy pulled away immediately, realising they had made a big mistake.

Following this, Kathy and Harvey agreed that the kiss didn’t mean anything, promising not to tell Jean, but it looked as though Kathy had started to develop feelings for Harvey.

In this week’s scenes Harvey attempts to do a good deed for Lily, which backfires. After feeling frozen out by the Slaters, and following another argument at home, Kathy gives Harvey some support.

In scenes that will air next week, Harvey gets the cold shoulder from Jean who shuts down his idea of taking Arthur to watch the football.

At No.31, Jean becomes overwhelmed as everything gets on top of her. Harvey offers to help, but Jean turns down his offer. Later, Harvey heads to the café to confide in Kathy, as the pair start to grow close again.

In the café, Kathy hosts an event to encourage the men of Walford to open up and come to terms with Martin’s death. Later, Kathy and Harvey share a warm moment after she gets back from visiting Rocky.

Harvey encourages Kathy to put her name forward to cater Martin’s funeral, but his plan is soon squashed when Jean tells him that Ruby has already sorted it.

Later, Harvey and Kathy enjoy a picnic at the allotments, but one thing leads to another and the pair end up sharing another kiss. Will Jean find out about the betrayal?
