EastEnders’ Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) desperately tries to cover her tracks this week when she realises someone has got wind of her liaison with ex-husband Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp).

Prior to his exit from Walford, Grant and Sharon enjoyed a secret tryst as they rekindled their old flame.

But Grant was hurt when Sharon later claimed it was a mistake and blabbed to Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) about their hook-up.

In forthcoming scenes, Sharon is horrified to realise Bianca knows her secret, knowing it could not only wreck her relationship with Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), but could also hurt ex-husband and Grant’s brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) if word got back to him.

However, she decides to take control and steals herself to be honest but circumstances prevent her from speaking out.

Following her failed attempt to come clean, Sharon talks to her half-brother Zack Hudson (James Farrar) when she realises somebody has overheard their conversation.

Later, Teddy’s son Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) reveals to Zack that he was the mystery eavesdropper, and Zack promises his sister he will find a way to keep him quiet.

At Harry’s Barn, Zack confronts Barney, but their conversation takes a turn when Barney starts bleeding from the wound that he sustained during The Vic explosion.

When Zack joins Teddy and ex-wife Nicola (Laura Doddington) at the hospital, a conversation about blood groups leads a suspicious Zack to ask Nicola if he is Barney’s dad.

Fans will remember how it was revealed that Nicola and Zack had enjoyed a fling years before they both moved to Walford. When Zack confessed this to his best mate Martin Fowler (James Bye) shortly before his death, he jokingly asked if Barney could be his son.

And to Zack’s shock, Nicola eventually confirms this to be the case – and it seems she will stop at nothing to keep Zack quiet and protect Barney and Teddy from the truth.

Spoilers have revealed Nicola will then ‘play a trump card’ with her love rival Sharon, and believes she has got the situation under control.

But will the women’s feud end up with both of their secrets being exposed?
