Another Walford resident looks set to depart EastEnders, hinted by a revealing exchange between cast members on Instagram. After a tragic week that saw two characters meet their demise, chatter amongst the audience suggested a third might soon follow.
It appears such speculation has grown legs after an Instagram post prompted interaction from two of the show’s actors, reports the Mirror.
It looks like Ruby Allen is poised to bid farewell following her partner Martin Fowler’s untimely death in the live episode. Having only just returned to the scene and reconciled with Martin—secretly having given birth to his child Roman some time before—their reunion was tragically cut short.
Despite their attempts to reignite their relationship, it was clear Martin still harboured feelings for his former flame Stacey Slater. In his last breaths amid the chaos of The Queen Vic explosion, he reached out to Stacey, confessed his love, and even proposed marriage, all while intending to leave Ruby, only to tragically die instead.

A distraught Ruby was left to grieve outside the pub, as Stacey’s cries echoed across the Square. Fans have been rife with theories that Ruby would take her son and leave, and now it seems the end is nigh for her character.
Louisa Lytton, who portrays Ruby Allen, posted a collection of memories from the soap, including photos with co-stars, one being Jamie Borthwick—Jay Brown on the show—who dropped a notable reply to her post: “You miss me don’t you.”
Speculation is rife that Jamie is not leaving the show, which leads to the question: has Louisa departed from her role?
With Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey, set to take maternity leave and return just for a live episode, it might signal imminent exits for Stacey, Ruby, and Roman. Social media is buzzing with fan theories, one stating confidently: “Ruby will leave.”
Another fan posited: “Ruby will probably leave as she knows that Martin had chosen Stacey,” while a third suggested: “It would make sense for Ruby to leave alone with Roman.” The conjecture of Ruby’s exit intensified following Martin’s departure.
Even prior to that, signs such as the show’s Ruby anniversary had fans convinced Ruby’s end was coming.
