Shocking Revelation! Vigil Held for Victims Following Tragic Car Crash in Emmerdale!

Mayhem continues to unravel in Emmerdale following the devastating limo crash that saw a car go off the road straight towards a frozen lake. And, with the ice cracking, it looks very much like at least one of the soap’s regular characters could be heading for a watery grave.

The action saw two limos, one with a group of women from the village and another with a group of the men, heading off for a night of fun and partying.

With tensions arising in both cars for different reasons it wasn’t long before the drivers of the cars – Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) – lost control of their vehicles with both cars veering off the road and one heading for terrifying peril on the ice.

The aftermath of the crash begins to play out in upcoming episodes, with the action switching from the eerie scene of the crash to chaotic hospital scenes as various villagers are admitted.

Meanwhile for friends and family members there’s an agonising wait to discover how bad the injuries are – and how many fatalities there could be.

By the end of the week, there’s enormous grief as the villagers start to come to terms with their loss.

Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, told us what to expect. ’The scenes are definitely going to be a white-knuckle ride at the top of the week with lots of high energy,’ she explained. ‘But later as the episodes play out it switches to being incredibly touching and poignant.

‘The outcome is going to affect so many in the village as well. The aftermath is going to cause huge ripples.’

Her co-stars Emma Atkins and Lucy Pargeter agreed.

‘The ramifications and the ripple effect will go on into the village for months to come in terms of the outcomes of this week,’ Emma said, while Lucy (who plays Chas) confirmed that, ‘No one gets out unscathed one way or another, in either this story or the stories that fan out from this event.’

In the immediate aftermath, as the villagers start to process what’s happened, a vigil is organised for the survivors of the crash and family and friends of those affected. And it’s going to be seriously emotional.

‘I have seen some stunning acting during this block from my fellow actors and I cannot wait for the audience to watch,’ Laura Norton confirmed.

‘I’m so proud to have been in these episodes although it’s bittersweet – as lives are very much in peril and that means some tears have been shed whilst filming.’
