Two crashes see the lives of 16 beloved Emmerdale residents in jeopardy, but who will come off the worst?
What should be a night of Valentine’s fun for the lads and ladies of the village becomes one of pure terror when two unrelated accidents leave the 16 in utter peril.
Actor Jonny McPherson, who plays Liam Cavanagh, revealed who the victims are set to be.
In the girls’ limo will be: ‘Chas, obviously, Kerry the prize winner, Leyla, Suzy, Amy, Vanessa, Charity and Mandy but Mandy has to run off and sort an issue before they set off.’
And in the other: ‘Cain, Caleb, Bear and Paddy, Mackenzie, Matty and Sam and Liam. They are somewhat held up from leaving the village as the girls’ limo has got delayed and is blocking their way. Liam is pleased so many have turned up suited and booted – all very James Bondesque.’
So what happens? Let’s get down to it.
The cars arrive in the village, one the result of Kerry’s (Laura Norton) competition win, the other paid for by competition loser Liam, but both are sans drivers. Charity (Emma Atkins) and Caleb (William Ash) step up to do the chauffeuring to get the big night off the ground.
But while on the road, things start to go awry. It gets overly rowdy in the women’s vehicle, while in the men’s, a row breaks out. Two very distracting situations for the two drivers.
As Charity tries to get a handle on what’s going on behind her, she turns back to the road and panics when her son suddenly appears in the middle of the road. With no time to think except to try and avoid him, Charity swerves.
In the boys’ car, a row breaks out, and with Caleb full of rage, driving comes second fiddle and he’s taken by surprise by a truck hurtling at him. He pulls the wheel hard, and the car also shoots off the road.
It’s carnage inside both vehicles as the occupants are flung about violently because no one ever wears a seatbelt in a limo.
One comes to rest precariously on an icy lake. The other, who knows.
Ash Palmisciano teased: ‘So much happens, there’s a big revelation that comes out and all I’m going to say is there’s so many twists and you will not believe where this night ends up.’
The aftermath is pure horror, with unconscious bodies and life-threatening injuries – and one limo balancing on top of a frozen lake.!
It’s now a fight for survival to exit the water-bound vehicle – the ice won’t hold long, and the freezing water threatens to claim lives.
One person is seen sinking into the depths of the blackness, but can they be saved?
When asked where the limos are meant to be going, actor Dominic Brunt dramatically told us: ‘Well, there is a destination. A very final destination…’ Oooh. Dark.
