Emmerdale fans are convinced that they’ve rumbled a twist where the body of Anthony Fox will be found during the aftermath of the limo crash.

In previous weeks, Anthony Fox received comeuppance for his historical campaign of sexual abuse against his estranged daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.

Viewers first learned of his crimes when Emmerdale aired flashbacks of Ruby’s sixteenth birthday party, and it was later revealed that Anthony had also fathered Ruby’s daughter Steph.

Once Caleb found out the truth, he held Anthony at gun point to force him to confess. However, his father-in-law managed to flee the scene without a single bullet wound, and he made his way to the depot to meet with Steph.

It wasn’t Steph who greeted him though, as Aaron Dingle figured out what sort of monster Anthony was, he confronted him in an attempt to get justice for Ruby. Unfortunately, things got heated and Aaron retaliated as he threw several deadly punches.

Ruby found her father lay bleeding on the floor, and grabbed a cloth to stop him from breathing as a way for him to pay for what he did to her. Meanwhile, Aaron and boyfriend John Sugden were none the wiser, and when they returned and found him dead they assumed it was Aaron who had killed him.

John diligently cleared the crime scene of any evidence and promised Aaron that he would take care of the body. Viewers watched as he wrapped Anthony’s body up, and made the assumption that he had dropped the body into the lake.

On New Year’s Eve, Emmerdale aired five flashbacks of what to expect in 2025. One of them included a body bag being flung into the lake – and it’s safe to assume that the body in question is Anthony’s.

In upcoming scenes, the ITV soap has confirmed that a horrific limo crash will end up with a group of villagers at the risk of death as their vehicle ends up in the frozen lake.

With a promise of injury, death, and harrowing scenes, viewers are convinced that the aftermath of searching the lake will reveal Anthony’s hidden body.

On an Emmerdale fan Reddit, u/massdebate159 asked: “Anyone else reckon that Anthony’s body will also be recovered from the lake?” u/alimac1111 replied: “Yes 100% , they’ll be looking for whatever body is missing from the limo crash and find his body too. I think it could be Caleb that dies and its his body Cain is crying over the grave.”

On X (formerly known as Twitter), @theLukeCOliver added: “Looking forward to seeing the car go in to the lake that results in the hand at the window. I’m wondering if Anthony’s body might also be in that lake? We don’t after all know where his body is!”
