SHOCKING NEWS!! east end legacy EastEnders reveals which iconic episodes will be repeated ahead of 40th anniversary – with an exciting new addition

EASTENDERS has confirmed which of its iconic episodes it will be re-airing as part of its week-long 40th anniversary celebrations.

The BBC will be screening some of the soap’s best-loved and most well-remembered episodes in honour of its birthday.

Now, the Beeb have confirmed exactly which episodes viewers will be able to enjoy once again in all their glory.

And to bring them even more up to date, the stars at the heart of the episodes will introduce them with a brand new 15-minute intro to discuss all on their impact and legacy.

These episodes will be screened on BBC Four on Sunday 16 February in order to kick off the epic soap week in style.

The episodes that will be repeated include Den and Angie’s infamous divorce showdown from 1986, the infamous Sharongate from 1994 in which Sharon Watts’s affair with Phil is made public, the reveal of Pat and Frank Butcher’s affair in 2000 and the heartbreaking conversation between Yolande and Patrick Trueman following her assault from last year.

Whilst these will be the four episodes that make it to screens, a further FIFTY episodes from between 1998 and 2008 are streaming on BBC iPlayer for fans to enjoy at their leisure.

Currently, every single episode of the soap broadcast since 2008 is also available to watch for free on the streaming site.

EastEnders’ bombshell week will see an extended hour-long episode on Wednesday the 19th as well as a live episode the following evening.

It will also see a soap first in which viewers are able to pick the outcome of two plot lines as a result of an interactive vote.

Fans will get to choose Denise’s final decision on which suitor she takes, which will be either Ravi Gulati or Jack Branning.

They will also get make a second decision on another mystery storyline in the vote, which will end just 20 minutes prior to the show.

Elsewhere, a further FOUR special shows will air throughout the week.

Ross Kemp, who plays Grant Mitchell and will be involved in the 40th anniversary storyline, will host an EastEnders special of his primetime game show, Celeb Bridge of Lies.

Adam Woodyatt, Michelle Collins, Molly Rainford and Micah Balfour who have all been at the heart of the Who Attacked Cindy? plot will take part in the special.

Former stars Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell) and Danielle Harold (Lola Pearce) will also reunite for an EastEnders special of Antiques Road Trip

Other aspects of the 40th anniversary celebration include: A wedding between fan favorites, A huge explosion at the Queen Vic, and A live interactive episode.

Joe Swash will host a companion talk show for the 40th week entitled EastEnders Revealed: The Lock-In with the likes of Natalie Cassidy and Patsy Palmer joining him to chat all about the show.

They will be joined by other veteran co-stars including Gillian Taylforth and Scott Maslen who will all reflect on the decades they have spent at the set.

Harriet Thorpe, Colin Salmon, and Diane Parish are set to join in the fun.

Another EastEnders special fronted by Ross will also be screened during the week.
