Leven Rambin’s character Audrey James was the most intense in her questions for Bode, even mocking him enough to get him slightly riled up. Being introduced during a drill already proved her abilities and desire to be the first in the class, but it was her questions during Bode’s incident post-mortem that cemented how much of a thorn in his side she could be if she wanted to. Audrey showed a ruthless approach to preparation in wanting to find information on Bode before his presentation, and her contacts within Three Rock made her dangerous.

Distancing himself from the other Leone firefighters can only do Bode good professionally, and being forced to do so by someone as ruthless as Audrey can make for an intriguing watch.However, Audrey and Bode’s competition can also turn into something steamier, potentially introducing a different romantic arc for Bode than what has been explored ever since Fire Country season 1. While the strength of Bode and Gabriela’s bond in Fire Country is undeniable, Manny may be right in saying they are not good for each other. Audrey pestering Bode enough to force him to be an impeccable firefighter can bring an always-entertaining rivals-to-lovers pairing on Fire Country, being in line with the rumors about Audrey potentially becoming Bode’s romantic interest in season 3.
