Emmerdale is not on tonight – here’s why and when it’s back

In sad news for Emmerdale fans, the ITV soap won’t be airing tonight

(Friday, October 25). Instead, the Friday evening ITV1 schedule will be

disrupted by the Women’s International Football, which will be on between 7pm and 10pm.

That means neither Emmerdale nor Coronation Street will be on tonight. Last night saw the last episode of the week as Nicola began to suspect that Tom was up to something, an angry Sam waded in and made the situation worse, and Billy prepared to fight again. Meanwhile, Belle continued to struggle with her mental health, which reached an all-time low.

But when is Emmerdale on next?

Emmerdale resumes business as usual next week, returning to its usual daily time slot on ITV1 at 7.30pm. Furthermore, new episodes will be released at 7am on weekdays for those who want to get their fix nice and early.

In the meantime, you can stream any previous episodes of Emmerdale, or Classic Emmerdale, on ITVX now.

Here’s what’s to come on Emmerdale next week

Nicola has begun to realise that Carl’s recent behaviour is related to Tom. Noticing that he seems to be scared of Tom, Nicola sits the youngster down for a chat. However, he clams up when Tom returns home unexpectedly.

Confronting Tom, Nicola demands to know what’s been going on. But when she threatens him with the police, Nicola’s accusations lead to marital discord between her and Jimmy. Can she convince her husband that Tom isn’t as sweet and innocent as he’s been making out?

Elsewhere, Billy realises that he has gotten out of his depth when Jade forces him into another fight. And, as she lays out the rules of the underground fight club, the grave danger of his situation finally sinks in. Can Billy walk away in one piece?

And, as Moira prepares to undergo surgery to have her brain tumour removed, she and Cain say their goodbyes.
