EastEnders has confirmed major drama involving Tommy Moon, as Alfie learns the truth about Kat’s injury.
The soap is currently airing a child-to-parent abuse storyline involving Kat and Tommy, with Tommy
previously punching his mum in the stomach.
Alfie was confident they had got their son’s behaviour under control, but when he went away for a training course in Birmingham, the situation escalated.
Last week, Kat tried to talk to Tommy about him stealing money from the café, but the confrontation ended with him punching her in the face, leaving her with a nasty injury.
This week, Jean will express concern for Kat’s wellbeing after hearing different accounts of what happened, but things are set to take an even more dramatic turn.
In scenes that will air next week, Alfie arrives home early from his course. Kat is surprised and attempts to hide her injury, but Alfie quickly spots her bruise.
Kat covers for Tommy and tells Alfie that she had an accident after a drunken night out with Stacey. However, Alfie later talks to Stacey in The Vic and discovers that Kat was lying.
At home, Kat is furious at Tommy for using her credit card without asking. She reminds him that she has already lied to Alfie about his violent behaviour – but they fail to realise that Alfie has been listening to the entire conversation.
He demands answers about the situation and following some tough questioning, Kat eventually confirms that it was Tommy who injured her.
Later at the flat, the Moons and Freddie all have dinner together. But it isn’t happy families for long, as an altercation between Tommy and Freddie quickly escalates.
The family meal turns to chaos, and Kat and Alfie are forced to respond to a night of carnage – but Kat continues to make excuses for her son.
However, the pair are no longer the only ones aware of Tommy’s worrying behaviour, as Freddie was witness to the night’s dramatic events.
Freddie is later put under pressure by the Slaters when Jean continues her suspicions and believes that he is keeping a secret for Kat.
Will Tommy’s abuse be exposed?
