If Chelsea Fox (Zaarah Abrahams) thought that former stepfather Jack
Branning (Scott Maslen) would pull some strings as a copper to get her off over her
involvement in the EastEnders club crush, she soon learns she was wrong next week.
The family urge her to hand herself into the police after the truth about her inadvertently causing the incident at Peggy’s earlier this year explodes.
As fans know, Chelsea tampered with the club’s online booking system to sabotage Penny Branning’s (Kitty Castledine) night, after Penny stole her job as manager, and recently confessed what she did to mum Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
In forthcoming scenes, all hell breaks loose between the Fox-Branning family as Denise reveals her daughter’s secret amid mounting tensions between sisters Penny and Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadds) – who was seriously injured in the crush.
Jack, Penny and Amy rail against Chelsea for her actions during a furious showdown at No.20.
Jack then demands she hand herself into the station, but Chelsea refuses.
Back at No.27, Amy summons cousin Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) for support and the pair head over to see Chelsea again.
After Amy shares some harsh truths with her older step-sister, Chelsea decides to hand herself in to the police – what fate does she await?
Speaking of how the truth affects Penny and the rest of the family, actress Kitty Castledine reveals: ‘She’s genuinely shocked, and deeply hurt. I think there is also this sense of betrayal, not only from Chelsea, but also from Denise for keeping it a secret for weeks.
‘Penny is meant to be going back to Paris, and is literally thinking this is the end of her life, her career, everything. So she feels this great sense of betrayal with Denise.
‘Shortly after, she has a massive burst of rage, and she is not afraid to show it,’ she adds.
