Rebecca Sarker, especially after her breakup with Charles Anderson.

However, things might be about to take an even darker turn for her character.

During an interview, Rebecca hinted at the potential return of a notorious villain this Halloween.

Since joining Emmerdale in 2018, Rebecca’s portrayal of Dr. Manpreet Sharma has won over fans, but her character’s journey has been fraught with challenges. In 2020, Manpreet’s life was upended by the reappearance of her long-lost sister, Meena, played by Paige Sanande. The manipulative killer wreaked havoc across the Yorkshire Dales, and while Manpreet remained oblivious, Meena was on a two-year spree that ended with five tragic deaths before her capture in April 2022.

Now, it seems there’s a chance fans might see Meena again. Speaking to Express.co.uk at the Inside Soap Awards, Rebecca shared her enthusiasm for a possible reunion with her on-screen sister, saying, “We loved working together, and it would be amazing to get us back together again, wouldn’t it?” She teased, “Meena is very much alive and kicking; she’s probably ruling the roost in jail. I wouldn’t put it past her to pop out.”

This revelation adds to Manpreet’s woes, especially as she navigates the emotional fallout from Charles moving on with Laurel Thomas after her own split from Jai Sharma. While Rebecca acknowledged that this new relationship seems like a rebound for Charles, she emphasized that for Manpreet, he was “the love of her life,” making the situation even more painful.

However, Rebecca is optimistic about Manpreet’s resilience, stating, “She’s a strong woman and she’ll bounce back—possibly in somebody else’s arms.” Looking ahead to Christmas, Rebecca hinted at new developments for Manpreet, including a new roommate, saying, “I know that Manpreet gets a new housemate, so that’s all I can tease for now, but we’re looking forward to that partnership.”
