Is ‘Chicago Fire’ Coming Back Next Season?

Season 8 is going to be a rough one. Sound the alarm: Chicago Fire is

coming back to television for season 8 SO soon!

The last installment of the Illinois-based series delivered a number

of devastating blows to the members of the Firehouse 51 team (and fans were not always happy). The crew dealt with everything from the death of Benny Severide to Casey and Naomi’s breakup—and there were plenty of scary fires in between.

The finale of the NBC show’s seventh run left us with a major cliffhanger as things *heated up* between Stella and Severide, and it’s hard to imagine what’s coming next—but we’ve got a few ideas. Here’s everything you need to know about season 8 of Chicago Fire. When will “Chicago Fire” be on TV?

Thanks to the drama’s stellar ratings on Wednesday nights, it has held onto its usual timeslot. NBC has officially confirmed that Chicago Fire will premiere on Wednesday, September 25 at 9 p.m. EST.Chicago Fire - Season 6

“The ‘Chicago’ franchise is a lynchpin of our schedule and we’re thrilled that audiences have embraced our Wednesdays with such incredible passion for these shows and characters,” Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment, said in a statement.

Which “Chicago Fire” cast members will return? The list of new and returning actors for season 8 of Chicago Fire has not been released yet, but a clip of the cast thanking fans for their support hints that at least three favorite characters will likely be back.

In the video above, actor Joe Minuso—who plays Joe Cruz on the show—is shown with David Eigenberg (Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann) and Kara Killmer (Sylvie Brett).

“We couldn’t be prouder to still be here,” Joe says, as Kara cheers in the background. “We love you so very much. See you next year.”

Is there a “Chicago Fire” trailer?
NBC released a combined trailer for Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. The series of clips from each show’s premiere episode displays Chicago’s heroes fighting crime and saving lives as they “stand together in honesty, integrity and bravery on one exciting night of television.”The sneak peek at Chicago Fire shows Chief Boden caught in a blaze and screaming “Mayday” as Cruz shouts “firefighter down”—so it’s safe to assume the season’s first episode will be very intense.

What are some “Chicago Fire” spoilers?Very little has been released about the upcoming season so far, except one cryptic tweet from the show’s co-creater, Derek Haas. He shared a photo of the script for the first episode, which is apparently titled “Sacred Ground.”

There’s no telling what that means yet, but we’d be willing to bet it has something to do with Stellaride!

NBC has also released a few photos from the upcoming season—and they look very, well, fiery.

One of the actions shots shows Casey looking terrified as he navigates his way through a burning building.Where will “Chicago Fire” be filmed?
Much like Blue Bloods, another crime drama that is filmed on-location in Brooklyn, New York, Chicago Fire has always been filmed where it’s meant to take place, in the heart of Illinois. In fact, the cast plays their parts based off of training they’ve done with the real Chicago Fire Department. Given show’s level of dedication to a realistic portrayal of scenes, it’s likely that the series continues to shoot episodes in Chicago.
