Emmerdale viewers have been surprised to discover that Danny Miller,
who plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap, has a famous father in showbiz.
Since his debut in 2008, Danny quickly became a fan favourite on the
show, entangled in major storylines involving everything from intense romances to shocking crimes and jail time. Currently, his character is navigating an on-again, off-again relationship with the new guy, John Sugden (Oliver Fainworth), who is, by chance, the half-brother of Aaron’s former flame, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Yet it’s not just Danny enjoying the limelight; his father, Vince Miller, 90, is quite the icon in entertainment circles too. Known as the ‘king of comperes’, Vince was the VIP host at Manchester United for an impressive near three decades. His tenure at Old Trafford lasted 29 years, where he frequently interviewed footballing giant Sir Alex Ferguson.

In a touching tribute during a charity event to mark his retirement, son Danny hailed his dad Vince as the “best in the business”. The entertainment veteran took to the stage and reflected on a successful career saying, “I’ve had a great career, I’ve done it all as a presenter, comedian, singer, I’ve been very fortunate. As Edith Piaf said, Je Ne Regrette Rien, no regrets!”

Vince has not shied away from expressing immense pride in Danny’s achievements within the entertainment industry either, previously stating, “He’s doing so very well and he’s done it all himself so now he’s up there. I’m so proud.”
