have been pining for more stories concerning Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe, and Ross.
Fear not, New Yorkers, as a musical based on the TV show is moving from Chicago to the Big Apple
later this year. While the project is officially linked to the series, there’s been a huge amount of media interest since the move to New York was announced thanks to the acclaimed writers behind it.
Bob and Tobly McSmith — who have previously written off-broadway hits 90210! The Musical!, Katdashian: The Musical!, Full House! The Musical!, and Bayside! The Musical! — have penned the production, titled Friends! The Musical!.
Songs that will feature include ‘The One Where We Make A Million Dollars An Episode’, ‘The Only Coffee Shop in New York’, ‘Oh. My God. It’s Janice!’, and, of course ‘We’ll Always Be There For You.’
While Friends! The Musical! remains an off-broadway show, cast member have been known to appear in the McSmith’s work — could a cameo appearance be in the works? Tickets to the production, which reaches New York’s Triad Theatre this June, are available here
