Amelia Caught in Tom’s Dangerous Secret

Tom King began dating Amelia after his marriage with Belle ended. He has been using her to get back at his ex-wife. But finally, Belle took the leap and revealed to her cousin Charity Dingle the abuse she faced from Tom. The Woolpack lady urged her to tell her brother, Cain.

Belle did tell Cain but warned him not to go after Tom. Meanwhile, Tom quickly realised this and rushed to tell his uncle, Jimmy King, and received his support. However, the other villagers are definitely not on his side, as his bosses, Vanessa and Rhona, fired him.

After losing his job, Tom disappeared, and no one has seen him since. Emmerdale Spoilers reveal that Lydia and Charity offered Belle their support. Lydia then suggested involving the police regarding Tom, but Belle dismissed the notion. She highlighted, “What’s the point? He’s gone now.”

She also admitted that she needed to find out where Tom was and whether Cain had done something to him. At the same time, Amelia blamed Belle for Tom’s disappearance. Later, Belle confronted Cain, asking if he had anything to do with Tom’s disappearance. But Cain swore he didn’t take revenge, though he wished he had.

As time passed, the episode featured Amelia secretly meeting Tom in the woods. The abuser told her, “I need you to keep on being my eyes and ears for me.” He added that it had taken courage to walk away from a bad marriage, even though he felt like he was acting as Belle’s carer most of the time.

He then explained that his motive was to get a divorce so they could both finally be free of Belle. Shockingly, Amelia believed him and vowed to ensure everyone believed in his innocence.
