There’s a new couple in the making on The Young and the Restless,
and it’s creating a lot of hype! Adam’s infidelity coming to light has
shattered Sally big time because she was looking for a happily ever after with him.
Now, she gets Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) shoulder
to cry on who’s in the same boat as hers. Although it’s too soon to tell, their chemistry has been undeniable, and they have grown closer in recent weeks. So, could Billy and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) or “Silly” be the next big thing in Genoa City?
The Young and the Restless actor Jason Thompson recently opened up about the potential romance between Billy and Sally. Unsurprisingly, he admitted to Soap Opera Digest that he could absolutely see something developing between the duo. Why? According to Thompson, Billy has gained a lot of respect for Sally.
Upon witnessing how Sally gracefully handled her difficult relationship with Adam, the character is in awe. Moreover, both of them are dealing with the fallout from Adam and Chelsea’s betrayal. Subsequently, the characters have found comfort in each other in a way they hadn’t before. “I do,” Jason approved of the potential romance.
Interestingly, the Y&R star is quite fascinated by the possibility and has enjoyed acting alongside Courtney. Although the actors haven’t gotten to work together a lot, Thompson described the experience as wonderful. He believes that if the storyline between their characters were to progress romantically, he’d be on board for it.
However, he doesn’t know what the CBS soap has planned for them yet. The soap actor continued, “I think they’re starting to enjoy their own company a little bit more, which is good.” Additionally, Thompson noted that the tension they’ve experienced is an important foundation for any relationship. The Y&R viewers have definitely noticed Billy and Sally’s growing closeness.
But what if their bond doesn’t evolve into romance? Still, it’s clear that Sally could play a more vital role in Billy’s professional life at Abbott-Chancellor.
