It has been six months since Garrison Brown’s suicide. Although many members
of the Brown family remained quiet in the days following his death, many started sharing
their favorite memories of Garrison and writing lovely tributes to him. This week, Meri
Brown dug up an old photo of him, which she said brought her to tears. Although Garrison wasn’t Meri’s biological son, she watched him grow up. Meri Brown Found A Surprise On Her Phone This isn’t the first time Meri Brown has publicly mourned Garrison’s loss. On her late mother’s birthday, Meri said she hoped her mom was there to welcome Garrison into heaven. This week, Meri came across a touching surprise on her phone — an old photo of Garrison. Although it brought the Sister Wives star to tears, she’s so thankful she found it.
“Looking through my phone tonight on the hunt for something completely unrelated, I came across this old photo of Garrison and me from 2018. A photo I didn’t remember I had, and one that I will forever cherish,” Meri captioned her Instagram photo. She attached a photo of herself and Garrison posing together, both all smiles. “Seeing it immediately moved me to tears, a testament of the love I have for him, the pain of the loss of him,” she continued. “It’s a reminder that grief comes in unexpected waves, memories of the moments with him all that remains. Four weeks today without him here with us.
A lifetime of memories to hold sacred.” Fans Support The TLC Star Amid Her Grief On some of Meri’s social media posts, some have accused her of wrongly defending Kody Brown amid the family tragedy. Several Sister Wives viewers believe he’s largely to blame for Garrison’s death. Meri asked her followers not to blame anyone and to only say kind things to the family while they grieve. On the photo of Garrison, Meri’s followers seemed to be more gracious and compassionate. Her friend Blair wrote, “Meri, my heart aches for you & the family. I cannot even imagine. I can only hope that day by day the grief becomes a bit lighter!
