Matthew Fox Joins Michelle Pfeiffer In The Upcoming Present-Day Yellowstone Spin-Off The Madison

The cast of Paramount’s present-day Yellowstone spin-off The Madison

has grown once again, with Lost star Matthew Fox coming aboard to star.

The 58-year-old actor will play a character named Paul, described as,

‘a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors,’ according to EW. Earlier this month, Michelle Pfeiffer came aboard to both star in and executive produce the series, the first Yellowstone show to be set in present-day.

The cast has filled out considerably since then, with Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Beau Chapman and Amiah Miller.

The show is described as a, ‘heartfelt study of grief and human connection,’ following a New York City family to the Madison River Valley in central Montana.

Pfeiffer will play Stacy Clyburn, described as a ‘wealthy matriarch,’ who uproots her family from the Big Apple to Montana following the tragic deaths of her husband and brother-in-law in a plane crash.

Adams is playing Russell McIntosh, described as, ‘a young investment banker who has followed the life path set before him from the start.’

Chapman will play Paige McIntosh, said to be, ‘a somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband.’

Garrett portrays Abigail Reese, described as, ‘a resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two.’

The current cast is rounded out by Miller as Bridgette, Abigail’s eldest daughter.

The show will be executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer and Keith Cox.

Fox started his career as Charlie Salinger in the hit Fox series Party of Five, which ran for six seasons from 1994 to 2000.

Four years later he starred as the iconic Jack Shephard in Lost, which ran six seasons from 2004 to 2010 on ABC.

He also starred in movies like Smokin’ Aces, We Are Marshall, Vantage Point, Speed Racer, Alex Cross, Extinction, World War Z and Bone Tomahawk.

The actor went on an acting hiatus from 2014 to 2021, revealing in 2022 that the time was right for a break.

‘I kind of had a bucket list in my mind of things that I wanted to accomplish in the business, and after I did ‘Bone Tomahawk’ in 2014 that had kind of completed the bucket list,’ Fox said in 2022.

‘I wanted to do a Western. It’s a very odd Western, but it’s a Western. And so that sort of completed the bucket list,’ he admitted.

‘At that time in my life, our kids were at an age where I felt like I needed to really reengage,’ Fox said of sons Kyle, 26, and Byron, 23, who he shares with his wife of over 30 years, Margherita Ronchi.

He added, ‘I had been focused on work for some time, and Margherita had been running the family so beautifully, but I felt like it was time to be home, and I really felt like I was retiring from the business, and working on other creative elements that are really personal to me – some music and writing.’
