In Emmerdale, we are on the brink of discovering Ella Forster’s true identity.

Recently, Ella moved into Liam’s home after he found her dozing in his car. Mandy saw a picture among Ella’s belongings that showed two little girls smiling—one with red hair and the other with black curls. Ella quickly snatched the photo when she noticed Mandy looking at it, resuming her enigmatic behavior.

A few days later, Ella sneaked out of the village to visit a care facility, where we met June Phillips, an elderly woman with dementia. Ella loved spending time with June, and it was clear that they shared a deeply sad past. During the episode on Friday, May 24, Ella brought flowers to June’s care facility, only to find the room empty. A worker informed Ella that June had passed away the previous evening. Heartbroken, Ella struggled to process the news, sitting alone in June’s room, surrounded by her belongings. The worker also told Ella that only family members could handle June’s funeral arrangements, raising questions about Ella’s connection to June.

In later episodes, Ella’s true relationship with June will be revealed, especially during the funeral, in a sinister Emmerdale cliffhanger. Ella has been labeled a child killer, and her mysterious past comes to light. Manpreet Sharma discovered that Ella had been visiting June, thinking June was Ella’s mother, leading to uncomfortable moments. After June’s death, Ella confided in Manpreet that she would attend the funeral, needing some alone time.

Meanwhile, Liam dismissed Manpreet’s concerns about Ella’s honesty. He emphasized the importance of doing what’s best for people rather than what they want. As Ella attended June’s funeral, Liam insisted on being there, believing she shouldn’t face it alone. However, Liam’s presence at the gravesite caused confusion and anger among the attendees. Introduced as June’s daughter’s boyfriend, Liam was confronted by an irate relative who accused Ella of murder, revealing a dark past and calling her a child killer.

As the drama unfolds, viewers also learned about Ethan Anderson’s tragic death. Rudy Fox Milligan admitted her involvement in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in Ethan’s death, stemming from a prior incident involving her son, Nikki. Despite attempts to dissuade her, Ruby confessed to the accident, causing tension within the Milligan family. Ruby’s guilt and fear of being exposed led to a dramatic climax as she confessed to Nikki, who was appalled by the revelation.

Nikki’s distress and the family’s struggle with the truth added layers of tension to the storyline. Ruby’s insistence on keeping the incident within the family was challenged by Nikki’s inherent honesty, hinting at potential future conflicts.

In another subplot, Rona and Vanessa criticized Tom for his work performance, leading to a confrontation. Tom’s attempts to manipulate the situation by evoking sympathy for Lisa’s death anniversary backfired, leaving Rona and Vanessa conflicted. Fans are now hoping that Vanessa will report Tom for his behavior, particularly after witnessing his aggression towards Belle.
