NBC’s One Chicago shows have all been running for over a decade now,

and they have a strong fan base and viewership. There was little doubt that

the network would renew them again, but the recent news isn’t as good

as it seems. Fans are genuinely concerned for the One Chicago universe: all three TV shows were only renewed for one season, and rightfully so. Most One Chicago fans agree with them, and some even criticize NBC for renewing the shows instead of “letting them ride off into the sunset.” At this point, many viewers would prefer the One Chicago shows receiving a satisfying conclusion rather than watch them drag on for a few more seasons and get increasingly worse.
