Chicago Fire’s Severide and Stella are planning their future. Could another woman put their
plans on hold? Chicago Fire’s Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide are in a good place right now. They
just got engaged and have a bright future ahead of them (assuming Severide survives being
trapped underwater). However, things could get complicated if Severide’s ex-wife enters the picture. Here’s what the actor who plays his ex has to say about a possible Chicago Fire return. Kelly Severide on ‘Chicago Fire’ Kelly Severide recently got engaged to Stella Kidd. They’ve had some rough patches but managed to resolve them. Now, they’re stronger than ever. When Severide got serious with Stella, he let her know about his past. He used to be married to a woman he met briefly in Las Vegas. Severide and his new bride, Brittany Baker, didn’t last. They came to their senses and realized the only reason they got married so quickly was because they were both still grieving the death of someone close to them. Brittany’s sister died in a car accident (Brittany was the one driving the car).
Severide was still recovering from the death of his close friend, Leslie Shay. Brittany and Severide only knew each other for 24 hours before they got hitched. They made a rash decision in the heat of the moment. Could Severide’s ex-wife come back? It looks like there’s a chance Severide’s ex-wife could return. This could cause trouble for Stella and Severide. It seems like the couple finally has everything sorted out, so this would be a bad time for Brittany to make an appearance. Hopefully, Severide’s ex won’t make a trip to Chicago. Actor Serinda Swan, who played Brittany, says people often ask when she will return to the series. Swan tells TV Line she’s open to reprising her role. She would also be interested in possibly creating tension between Stellaride. “People still ask me about it all the time,” says Swan. “[I] would be down for [Brittany] to just randomly show up one season and mess things up a bit for him again.”
Who’s in the ‘Chicago Fire’ cast? The Chicago Fire cast has gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of seasons. Currently, the cast includes Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett, Jesse Spencer as Matt Casey, David Eigenberg as Christopher Herrmann, Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd, Christian Stolte as Randy “Mouch” McHolland, Eamon Walker as Chief Wallace Boden, Joe Minoso as Joe Cruz, Alberto Rosende as Blake Gallo, Daniel Kyri as Darren Ritter, and Hanko Greensmith as Violet Mikami. Greensmith was promoted from a recurring character to series regular.
This took place after the exit of Adriyan Rae, who played paramedic Gianna Mackie. Showrunner and series creator Derek Haas tells Entertainment Weekly Rae left the show because of “private reasons.” He says there’s a chance viewers could see Rae on the show in the future. “Adriyan let us know she had some private reasons to leave Chicago,” Haas tells Entertainment Weekly. “To hear that as a showrunner, you absolutely respect what an actor needs. All I can say is we love her, and I know she’s going to be great on some other series. And she left 51 on great terms, so there’s a chance we could check in on her. We’re always looking for something to boost up a crossover! I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Mackey in Firehouse 51.”
