Fans are convinced death may be in the works for Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle.

provoked by his equally disruptive pal, Josh Cope (Osian Morgan). Matty was taken to prison, a particularly dangerous environment for the proud trans man, while his wife Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and mother Moira (Natalie J Robb) are trying to get through to Samson, pleading for him to tell the truth. This Thursday, July 11, however, Moira took things to another level as she held Samson captive in her home with brother Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and intimidated him into doing the right thing, before letting him know that he could lie and say that Josh had brutally attacked him. Moira watched closely as she dropped Samson at the police station and she was mortified when officers showed up on her doorstep to arrest her and Mackenzie. Taking to X, otherwise known as Twitter, while Moira and Mack were being escorted out by the police, several viewers have deemed it was time for him to go – and murder was among their predictions. “Samson better look out. When he gets out Matty will sort him out”, one viewer penned on the social media platform. Another added: “I actually can’t wait for Samson to die!” A third echoed, in reference to Samson’s late mother Alice: “Someone send Samson to see his mum.” With Samson was tipped to be on his way out of the Dales, viewers of the Yorkshire-based program took to Reddit as they grew increasingly convinced his exit will be permanent. One theory circulating on the social media platform has suggested that Samson may be killed by Josh as the latter tries to throw the police off his scent. “They could make this a good storyline by having Josh kill Samson for threatening to confess”, one penned, “that would redeem Samson somewhat and get the wet wipe off the screens, exonerate Matty and also jail the weird ‘Josh’ character they invented for one dimension.”

Another added: “I’m guessing this storyline will end with Samson’s exit? I read that the actor was leaving at some point.” A third theorised: “I think Josh has dirt on Samson. Cause before the whole Matty stabbing Samson, he was getting told to keep his mouth shut and then they went inside to have the altercation.” Elsewhere, however, some fans are still remaining hopeful Samson won’t be killed off, although Moira could be another danger he’d need to dodge, Meanwhile, actor Sam Hall has dropped subtle hints fans still had plenty of time to spend with him on their screens. “I think Les will go to Emmerdale”, another viewer argued, in referenced to Matty’s inmate. “He will find out about Samson and that other little s***, he will get to the bottom of it and make them both admit to what they did.
