Fans are dying for answers to so many questions when it comes to Virgin River Season 6.
But, there is one problem that could ruin everything, and his name is Jack.
Thanks to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, fans already have a good idea of what might be
to come in Virgin River Season 6.So far, Season 6 storylines include Mel and Jack’s road to parenthood, a potential reunion between Brady and Brie, and finally finding out what Everett has to tell Mel at the end of Season 5 Part 2.
However, some fans think all of the delicious drama could suffer thanks to one issue — Jack just isn’t worthy of Mel’s love or attention.
“Jack sucks,” one fan posted on Reddit. “What does Mel see in him? Honestly… And is Mel so insecure and broken that she’d settle for him?”
A second agreed, “This opinion will not be well-liked here, but you’re completely right. It’s unbelievable the amount of BS Mel puts up with from Jack. I wonder how the audience would view him if he didn’t look the way he did.”
“He’s a hottie. That could be part of it. And she is a natural caretaker and probably senses his hidden trauma from the beginning,” a third weighed in.
Hottie or nottie, Jack — played by Martin Henderson — is still set to be a key part of Virgin River Season 6. According to early leaks, a wedding, surrogacy, and the introduction of Jack’s sisters have all been spotted while filming on location.
“He kind of just acts like a… person? People are complex and messy and every person has their baggage and their toxic traits. I’d be a little over it if they made her love interest Mr. Perfect,” one fan argued.
“When I think of red flags there are definitely other things that come to mind for me personally. Jack just comes across as a messy human navigating his way through life and learning as he goes.”
At the same time, there’s every chance Jack could take a more supporting role in Season 6, after it was revealed Henderson suffered from some major health issues.
All fans know for sure is that Virgin River Season 6 episodes are set to be affected by a time jump, which could answer how much or how little Jack is involved. The question is… just how big will that time jump be?
