an overrunning football match between Spain and Germany. The drama from the Dales was already pushed back to 8.30pm but in a schedule shake-up, as the match between Spain and Germany went to extra time, Emmerdale was postponed and no longer aired on Friday evening. At the time, soap watchers were left furious to miss their soap instalment and viewers have been left further baffled over Friday’s ‘missing’ episode, wondering when they can catch up with the village drama. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “#emmerdale #itv #itvx @emmerdale @ITVX @ITVXhelp @ITV Everyone keep tweeting @ITVXhelp to tell them to add last Friday’s missing episode as they have added today’s episode but not last Friday’s thanks.” A different account put: “Ermm @emmerdale think you might wanna add Fridays episode as well #Emmerdale”, another wrote, “#Emmerdale isn’t down for an hour on the sky tv guide tonight. Have they just scrapped Friday’s, and we have to jigsaw the pieces together, @ITV?”

Someone else echoed: “Anyone know when Friday postponed episode of Emmerdale will air ? #emmerdale.” Emmerdale fans have been left baffled over Friday’s ‘missing’ episode after the ITV soap was cancelled due to an overrunning football match between Spain and Germany However, soap fans need not worry as ITV’s streaming service, ITV X, has added both Friday and tonight’s (Monday 8 July) episodes to be watched on the hub. Meanwhile, TV schedules are now showing that Emmerdale will air from 7pm to 8pm in a double bill to make up for Friday’s schedule shake-up. Taking to Twitter, now X, one soap watchers pointed out to confused fans: “Friday’s and tonight’s episode of #Emmerdale is available on ITVX TV Guide is showing an hour long at 7pm tonight.” It comes as soap producer Sophie Roper recently revealed there is lots of good things coming up on the show.

Speaking about what’s to come, she said: “The Dingles have been at the heart of our show for 30 years now, and will continue to be so. We lost Steve recently, so we’re going to be marking Zak’s passing in the coming months with a Dingle funeral. It will be very difficult for a lot of people who work on the show and obviously a lot of our viewers who have grown and love Zak for many, many years – but it will be a hugely fitting tribute for a great character.” However, it won’t be all sad and there will be some happy storylines too as Mandy and Paddy finally tie the knot. She added: “Elsewhere in the Dingle world, we’ve got Mandy and Paddy building towards a wedding. It is Mandy and Paddy, so that’s going to be filled with fun. We’ve had Mandy’s dress made in-house by one of our dressmakers. It’s going to be very Mandy. It’s going to be very big. It’s going to be very fun. So look out for some fun in amongst all of that with the Dingle clan.”
