BBC EastEnders fans ‘work out’ who spikes Anna’s drink in ‘soap first’ – and it’s someone close to her

EastEnders fans reckon they have worked out who spikes Anna Knight’s drink in

a heartbreaking twist. Later this month, Anna (Molly Rainford) is set to face a horrifying

ordeal as her drink gets spiked. In an episode scheduled for Tuesday, July 16,

Anna and pals Felix, Freddie and sister Gina, head on a night out at Peggys. But she finds herself in peril when her drink is tampered with. Anna’s friends believe that her behaviour is down to alcohol so the incident initially goes unnoticed. But it soon becomes clear that her antics do not equate to the little amount of alcohol she has actually consumed, leaving her loved ones concerned for her welfare. In the comments section, one person said: “I’m glad she’s getting something good to work with, i hope she does it well!! But I wonder who spikes her.”

And fans were quick to share their thoughts that it could be her boyfriend Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), especially as the actor is leaving the soap. Fans reckon Bobby Beale could be behind it (Image: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) In April this year, it was confirmed that actor Clay had quit and will be saying a “definite goodbye” to Albert Square. After starring on the show for five years, he made the “difficult decision” to part ways with the BBC show. Thinking Bobby could end up spiking Anna’s drink, a second fan said: “Maybe Bobby seeing as he’s leaving. Maybe he fears her and Freddie are getting too close and gets jealous, spikes her, and it all goes t**s up.” A third penned: “There’s a little psycho deep within him, I’d like to see him snap and release the beast.” While on X, another viewer wrote: “Should be an interesting storyline this #EastEnders hope this isn’t part of Bobby’s exit storyline though that he spikes Anna and has to leave.”
