EastEnders fans in shock as they learn iconic character was Ali G’s girlfriend

Much-loved soap actress Kellie Bright, better known as Linda Carter to EastEnders fans, was

once the romantic flame of comedy character Ali G. The fact is totally blowing people’s minds, as they

can’t believe she was making us laugh two decades ago in the iconic movie. Prior to her rise to

stardom on the popular soap, Kellie starred alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in the cult comedy classic, Ali G Indahouse, back in 2002. Playing “Me Julie” – Ali’s long-suffering girlfriend in the film – her role was dramatically different to her now-infamous character on Albert Square.
