Sources confirmed to Decider that Hudon is becoming a series regular on Season
13 of the hit NBC procedural drama. The actress began her run on the show as paramedic
Lyla Novak this past season (Season 12), appearing in five episodes. According to
ScreenRant, Season 12 saw Novak being convinced by Hanako Greensmith’s Violet to become a full-time member of Firehouse 51. Per a network press release, Chicago Fire was renewed for the 2024-2025 season back in March, with the series averaging 12.6 million viewers. The show’s most recent installment wrapped on May 22 with the Season 12 finale, “Never Say Goodbye.” Fellow One Chicago series Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. also concluded their respective latest seasons on May 22, and have since been renewed by NBC.

In April, Rome Flynn exited the series after six episodes as firefighter Derrick Gibson, taking to Instagram at the time and posting, “curtain call chicago fire.” Kara Killmer, who portrayed paramedic Sylvie Brett across 10 seasons of Chicago Fire, also departed the show in February.
