The Six have proven they will go to any lengths to cover up their killer secret in EastEnders,
after framing Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder – but could
someone else find themselves in danger as they dig into the case? That is the question EastEnders
fans have been posed as Callum Highway (Tony Clay) continued to act on his instinct that all is not as it seems with Keanu’s death during Wednesday’s (19 June) episode. The copper’s suspicions were raised earlier this week, when Keanu’s mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) revealed she’d been to visit Dean in prison, and had some questions for real killer Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) about her statement, which helped frame rapist Dean for the crime. He soon picked up on Linda and her son Johnny’s (Charlie Suff) caginess, before pressing Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) on his hunch and noticing her similar reaction, only raising his suspicions further. On Wednesday, Linda and Sharon enlisted the help of fellow copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to help throw Callum off the scent, after Callum said he would be speaking to the detectives heading up the case.
At the police station, Jack warned him about the risks associated with digging into a senior officer’s case, and offered him the chance to join a new case he’s working on to stop him pursuing Keanu’s murder further. However, in a later conversation with Johnny Carter, Callum revealed he could not stop going over the case in his head, explaining he wanted to make sure the right person goes away for it. Rattled, Johnny took matters into his own hands, manipulating Callum into admitting he was throwing himself into work as a way of distracting himself from husband Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) currently being locked up in prison. Telling Callum to focus on his step-daughter Lexi Pearce instead, Johnny appeared confident he’d finally got Callum off The Six’s back. But will the copper really let go of his hunch? And will The Six be forced to take drastic action in order to silence him?
