EastEnders favourite rushed to hospital after sudden brutal attack from teenager

Will Mitchell’s (Freddie Phillips) behaviour spirals out of control in

EastEnders next week when he attacks estranged grandfather Stevie (Alan Ford).

A true Mitchell, Will has been firmly defensive of his family ever since

Stevie swanned back into Walford in an attempt to reconnect. Over the years we’d heard little about Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) dad, but what we did hear wasn’t overly positive. Stevie abandoned him as a child, and upon entering the care system, Billy was abused by the staff.

Upon meeting his grandchildren Will and Janet, and great granddaughter Lexi, it became clear that he had little experience of dealing with children.

Offering Janet a mint, he spoke to her in a childlike way and enunciated his words in a patronising manner. She quickly snapped back: ‘I’m not deaf, I have Down’s syndrome.’

Since then they seem to have mellowed to him, with Will in particular enjoying a new paternal figure in his life.

This week, Stevie catches the youngster stealing cash out of mum Honey’s purse and later clocks a text on his phone which tells a different story, forcing him to reveal all – he’s being blackmailed.

Looking into next week, after charity money is stolen from Lola’s fundraising evening, it looks pretty obvious whose behind it.

With the family all pointing their finger at Stevie, he protests his innocence and tracks down Will to the cafe to try and get him to come clean. Will is adamant that he isn’t to blame, and back at the flat an argument soon breaks out between them.

When the situation turns sour, Will charges out and knocks his granddad to the floor – and it becomes clear that he’s unconscious.Phil rushes over and calls an ambulance, and later makes his cousin’s son come clean about the blackmailer.

It’s likely that the family will soon have bigger fish to fry, as Stevie’s secret son Teddy and his children Harry and Barney arrive in Walford…

Spotting Will visiting Stevie in hospital, Teddy’s suspicions are piqued and he follows him back to Albert Square. Later, in the pub, the shocking revelation is revealed to the whole family.

It’s all kicking off!
