It’s a lot of balls to juggle within an hour, but the second part of the finale gives us one of the most intense rollercoaster rides that Fire Country has ever sent us on. The Zable Ridge is bigger than anyone imagined and requires all hands on deck at the Buena Vista Memory Center, where Walter (Jeff Fahey) correctly predicted the fire would arrive. Bode is the first on the scene, but Vince (Billy Burke) and Sharon (Diane Farr) may pay the ultimate price for his hero complex. Meanwhile, the truth comes out about who shot Finn, and Three Rock becomes another victim of the raging fire.

Finn’s Death Leads to a Game-Changing Arrest in the ‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Finale

Manny immediately jumps into action and instructs Gabs to start working on Finn while he calls 911. Audrey (Levin Rambin) is out of it, either as a side effect of being tased or because she was potentially the one who shot Finn, but Gabs gets her to come around, and they immediately begin to figure out how to remove the bullet to allow Finn’s lungs to expand fully.

Manny finally gets hold of Jake (Jordan Calloway), who confirms there are no open roads that can get them to the hospital. Instead, he reroutes Manny to the Buena Vista scene so the paramedics there can treat Finn. Manny turns the car around and speeds to the memory care facility to allow the medics to work on Finn. Audrey immediately turned herself in to the police officers on the scene, and Bode gets to see his girlfriend taken away by cops as Gabs informs him that Audrey shot Finn to protect her.

‘Fire Country’s Season 3 Finale Says Farewell to Three Rock

The fire at Three Rock has now gone from a small pile of embers to a raging wildfire. However, with the Zable Ridge fire taking up resources, there was no cavalry to help Three Rock contain the flames. Francine (Katie Findlay) loops back to the camp to bring Eve (Jules Latimer) and the crew some extra fire extinguishers, but the flames are already growing out of control. Cole (Tye White) suggests a bucket brigade to get water from the well to help quell the flames. It gives them a little more time, but ultimately, the fire takes too much of the camp, and Eve has to make the decision to save the crew.

Tragedy Strikes at Buena Vista in the ‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Finale

Walter may have been mid-delusion when he called Bode to help at the Buena Vista care center, but his firefighting instincts are right on. Bode arrives just as the winds shift the direction of the fire toward Edgewater, putting the care center right in its path. Vince and Sharon are struggling to get to Buena Vista when Bode calls them and informs them that he’s already there. That’s the last thing they want to hear when Vince has already benched Bode to take care of his injured knee. They reiterate that Bode needs to stay out of the fire and just wait for them to get there so they can assess the scene.

Vince and Sharon finally arrive on the scene to discover that Bode and Walter have directly disobeyed them. So they, the Battalion Chief and Department Chief, both suit up and follow Bode and Walter into the flames. At this point, every surviving member of the Leone family — minus Luke (Luke Trucco), because he is in Japan — is inside the burning building. Not a single one of them thought this situation through. Jake is the next to arrive on the scene after his truck can’t make it to Three Rock to help Eve. He asks where his bosses are so that he could get a rundown of the scene, and is informed that they’re both inside — and that he’s been appointed as incident command. Jake wanted a promotion and a chance to grow at Station 42, but this isn’t the way he wanted to do it.
