Emmerdale spoilers for next week reveal John’s plot to frame Owen for murder may come back to bite him as Robert investigates.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie finds out the truth about Charity and issues a shock ultimatum and Kim and Joe are plotting again.

Here’s our pick of the plots for what’s coming up in Emmerdale next week.

1. Killer confession rouses Robert’s suspicions

So we know John Sugden has framed Owen Michaels for the murder of Nate. Liam can’t get in to see Owen next week and calls the police, who confirm he is dead. DS Walsh also shows Liam the supposed suicide note on his laptap confessing to Nate’s killing.

Tracy and Cain are stunned when they hear the news, struggling to take it in. John pretends that he’s shocked and hopes he’s pulled off a convincing enough performance.

But it’s Robert who seems most shaken by the fact the man who tried to spike him also killed Nate. For him, it’s too much of coincidence and he decides to investigate further.

He soon finds out John visited Owen. Then he meets with Owen’s brother Steve who reveals there’s no way Owen could have done it as he has a cast iron alibi for Nate’s death.

Robert takes his information to the police, but will it see attentions turn to John at last?

2. Cain’s grief overwhelms John in Emmerdale spoilers

Although John thinks it’s all over, he is not happy to see no improvement in Cain’s mood after the news about Owen. He really thought this would give him closure and help him move on.

Cain loses his rag with Liam, who won’t break patient confidentiality to tell Cain about Owen. Liam confides in John the utter agony of losing a child and John cannot cope with his own guilt.

Knowing he’s robbed Cain of getting true justice, John reaches out to the helpline again. But will their suggestion to talk properly help John or hinder him?

3. Mack finds out about Charity’s offer and flips!

Wanting to put a stop to the surrogacy, Eric drops Charity in it by revealing all to Mack about his wife’s plans. Horrified Mack races home to have it out with her.

But Charity is adamant she’s doing this for Sarah, leaving Mackenzie distraught she will have Jacob’s baby, but not his.

Meanwhile, Jacob is furious with Pollard, who admits he is terribly concerned about Sarah’s limited life expectancy.

When Charity gets word the clinic will try to inseminate, Sarah is worried this will kill Charity’s marriage. Although her gran assures her Mack will come round, he doesn’t. He tells Charity it’s the surrogacy or their marriage. Which will she choose?

4. Kim and Joe plot against Moira in Emmerdale spoilers

Robert is preparing to sign Annie’s Field over to Kim behind Moira’s back. But when he realises just how desperate Kim is to get her hands on it, he refuses and Kim is annoyed.

Meanwhile, Moira gets word her appeal to the water board has been turned down. She realises she may lose Butler’s Farm for good.

As Moira despairs, Joe swoops in, having been left in charge by Kim who’s gone to Dubai, and offers to buy the farm. What will Moira do? Cain assures her he will stand by her no matter what, but does that help?

Paddy is volunteering at a crisis helpline in order to help others and overcome his own issues.

April tells Marlon she loves working at Take A Vow. He insists she must return to college, but April soon reveals she has other plans…
