Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has paid tribute to Jurell Carter following his final scenes as Nate Robinson.
Jurell made his final appearance on the ITV soap on Thursday (17 July) as the funeral for Nate took place, with the character being killed off last year as dangerous doctor John Sugden claimed his first victim in the Dales.
Amy, who played Jurell’s on-screen wife Tracy, paid tribute to her former co-star in a heartfelt post on Instagram, writing: “‘A big man with a big heart’ – says it all. Can’t believe this is the end for Nate and Tracy, properly this time.”
“It was a pleasure to share the screen with you @jurellcarter. You’re missed by us all. Gone but never forgotten,” she continued, with Jurell replying: “Ahhh Amyyyy, you little softie. I miss you.”

The comment section was filled with messages from fans of the soap, with Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton, leaving two love heart emojis. Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh, Amy’s sister, also commented, describing it as the “end of an era”.
“I thought tonights episode was lovely. Touching to see Amy and the Dingles come together at long last!! Cain and Tracy by Nate’s grave was touching. Perfect send off for Nate/Jurell xx,” wrote a fan of the soap.
“You have both worked well together. Tonights episode was incredible,” commented one other viewer, with another adding: “Loved how they all came together, the scene with tracy and cain hugging, now time to take john down.”

The episode saw Tracy and Cain Dingle finally put aside their differences as they agreed that neither party was involved in Nate’s death, with the pair resolving to discover the identity of the culprit.
John, however, immediately began to plot his next move as he sought to stay in the clear, with Friday’s (18 July) episode seeing the villainous doctor go to extreme lengths to cover his tracks – will he ever be caught out?
