The slurry spill really did Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) over.
A simple turn of a tap by malicious John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in a bid to get one up on Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) has left Moira with a withering livelihood and a water bill that will likely see her go under.
Moira lost the respect of her customers and the villagers and found herself slapped with a hefty fine because of John’s actions.
Robert (Ryan Hawley), meanwhile, is planning to capitalise on Moira’s misfortune. He’s already bought Annie’s field from her for a pittance and now plans to make a huge profit by selling to Kim Tate (Claire King).
Kim has been after Moira’s land for yonks, so for her, it’s worth every penny. But as Robert comes to sign the contract with Kim, he smells a rat.

Kim is so unbelievably desperate for the land that Robert wonders if he’s underestimated its true value. He decides to go in search of what it is Kim is keeping to herself.
Moira has no idea this is going on behind her back – she’s more focused on paying off the water bill and appealing the rulings against her farm.
She’s in for bad news when Noel from the water company arrives to tell her that her appeal has been rejected.
