Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) continues to give those around her cause for concern on Coronation Street as her dementia symptoms apparently worsen.
Debbie was diagnosed with the illness earlier this year when she went to the doctor after experiencing disturbing symptoms. After initially trying to keep the devastating news to herself, she recently told her family.
She also reconciled with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), who insisted he wanted to be by her side no matter what.
Debbie had tried to push Ronnie away by pretending she no longer loved him, concerned that she didn’t want him to have to become her carer when her symptoms worsened.
Sue Devaney recently revealed that the storyline has a long way to go yet. ‘I know the story is going to go on well into 2027, so Debbie’s not going anywhere,’ she told ITV’s Lorraine. ‘We wanted to do the diagnosis and get that sorted and then do the journey of living with dementia.’

In upcoming episodes Debbie is working at her hotel when a guest makes a complaint to her. Rather than dealing with it in the professional way she normally would, she responds with a rude comment to the guest.
He films her tirade on his phone and threatens to post it online – which would obviously be horrendous publicity for the hotel. Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) steps in and manages to smooth the situation over, apologising to the guest and persuading him to delete the footage of Debbie’s outburst.
In response, Debbie grabs Ryan and kisses him full on the lips as her way of saying thank you. She obviously doesn’t see anything inappropriate in what she’s done.
