It was recently revealed that Kim Tate (Claire King) has started seeing someone new in Emmerdale.
The development was certainly a big deal for her, as this was the first time she had ventured back into the world of romance following Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) death over Christmas.
At the start, we discovered Kim’s man was called Eddie, but we now know he works as a cosmetic surgeon, and that they met each other while attending a racing event.
It’s perhaps the information about Eddie being a surgeon that’s interested Emmerdale audience members the most, as they are now beginning to wonder if he is actually a character we saw earlier this year.
Taking to social media platform X, fans are curious Eddie might turn out to be Doctor Crowley, played by James Hillier.
An account dedicated to the Tates in Emmerdale shared this message recently: ‘Bets on he turns out to be Crowley? Or could he be another face from Kim’s past…?’.
Another wondered: ’Did we ever get Dr Crowley’s first name? Could Eddie be him.’
This fan said: ‘I think we all know that kims eddie is going to be dr crowley’.
Doctor Crowley played a huge part in the storyline that saw Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) illegally take part in a kidney transplant operation.

Crowley did as Joe asked, took the money, and ran – but we know he’ll return this week.
