Coronation Street fans were on the edge of their seats in Monday’s dramatic instalment, as Aadi Alahan’s celebration took an alarming turn.

The dramatic episode followed Aadi being ribbed by stepmum Bernie Winter for being dull – leading him to host a midsummer party to prove otherwise.

Sadly, his plan spiralled out of control when Brody Michaelis arrived with LSD, intending to peddle it at the event. Aadi promptly seized the drugs from Brody and showed him the door.

However, in a twist of events, Aadi joined Summer Spellman and Nina Lucas in deciding to take the LSD.

But before Aadi could have his share, he got distracted, and Lauren Bolton accidentally ingested the LSD, unaware of its true nature, reports Leicestershire Live.

Lauren was plunged into a horrifying ordeal where she hallucinated deceased abuser Joel Deering, with Calum Lill returning to his role for this harrowing scene, while a drugged-up Nina and Summer stumbled into the shadowy café.

As the plot thickened, the two girls, stricken with fear, were found wailing and terror-stricken. A panicked Summer exclaimed: “Oh God, oh God, oh God!” and Nina pondered whether they should revisit the scene of horror: “Do you think we should go back? You saw what happened!”.

With Summer adamant about staying away, she insisted: “No, Nina, we can’t. Listen to me, I don’t know what… but we 100% cannot go back!” which left Nina crying out: “Oh God!” as they sought solace in each other’s arms.

The soap has now teased forthcoming episodes, hinting at the shocking events’ fallout set to unfold throughout next week.

In the episode airing on Wednesday, Summer and Nina revisit their actions from the previous night in search of answers. Later, they discuss the event they witnessed at the party and decide that they must remain silent.

On Friday evening, Nina confides in Roy Cropper about her use of hallucinogenic drugs at the party and shares what she can recall, prompting Roy to encourage her to report to the police.

Spoilers for the upcoming week reveal more developments, as it’s disclosed that Nina and Summer feel they’ve had a narrow escape. But what exactly have they been up to?

In other news, Bernie extends an apology to Aadi and Asha for Brody’s conduct, hoping it didn’t spoil the party. Later, Kit Green informs Aadi of a reported drug incident at the party and requests his statement…
